With the recent announcement of Simon and Richter Belmont coming to Nintendo’s legendary Super Smash Brothers series later this year, Konami and Castlevania fans have been hopeful that the series is ready to be resurrected after a nearly 5 year slumber. Some very interesting news broke regarding two of the finest titles in the series today and the potential of an even bigger collection.
One clue that has been uncovered is that of a rating for the title Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of the Night & Rondo of Blood straight from the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea. What’s more is that, at least thus far, the so called collection is only heading to Sony’s PS4. While that may be a disappointment for Xbox and Nintendo fans, ratings have been submitted for both Japanese and English. This very well could point to a high possibility of a release in the West. Given the series popularity in the West, I’d wager this is more likely then not.
No further information is known at this time. It will be interesting to see if this collection will end up being more then a port of the Dracula X Chronicles from the PSP or an even bigger collection of titles from the entirety of the series. Check back for updates as this story unfolds.
